January 13, 2012

On Saturday 14th January 2012, the George Duckett Memorial Rugby Game will be played at Police Field, Prospect, Devonshire. This the 38th time the trophy will be played for.

George Duckett was a former Commissioner of Police who was assassinated in 1972. Said to be a popular Commissioner, he was a larger than life man at 6’5” tall. From Lancaster, Commissioner Duckett was also an ardent rugby fan.
