Feb 15: Premier To Host Town Hall
Premier Paula Cox, will host a town hall meeting on Wednesday February 15, to discuss education, workforce and family and social matters. Wednesday’s meeting will take place at the Elliot Primary School, Hermitage Road Devonshire at 7.30 p.m.
The “Let Us Build One Another Together” town hall meeting will also feature Minister of Education Dame Jennifer Smith, Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Patrice Minors, and Minister of Youth, Families and Sports Glenn Blakeney .
Premier Cox said, “We believe these forums are an invaluable opportunity for Ministers to have very candid and open exchanges with the public. While admittedly, the current community realities that we are facing pose a challenge, it is important to recognise that this Government has made some very significant strides to address the concerns that are facing the people of this Country.
“We have enacted programmes, initiatives and policies that we believe will benefit Bermuda for in the long run in the areas of employment, education and our community. And this Wednesday evening, I want to encourage as many residents as possible to come and hear from their Ministers about the work that is being done on their behalf. Each person’s opinion is valuable and I very much look forward to engaging with residents on Wednesday.”
Will the groundrules be posted beforehand, so people will know what questions will be considered to be “not Kosher”, using the Premier’s vernacular?
Don’t think I’ll be there – will someone please ask Marc Bean when he’ll have a decision on SDO given to Wayne Furbert and Zane! We’re tired of waiting to see how this one turns out. We haven’t forgotten!
“Let us build one another together”? Yet another nonsensical phrase from the Cog – evidently this country is not yet broke enough and platitudes still suffice. The good/bad news is that regardless of who wins the forthcoming election, we will all soon know just how broke these incompetents have made us all – the money has run out supporting thirteen years of pretentious PLP Government.
