Ironshore Inc. Management Appointments
Ironshore Inc. has announced management appointments at Iron-Starr Excess Agency Ltd. Stuart Anderson has been promoted to the position of Chief Executive Officer, providing strategic direction and program oversight of the Iron-Starr Financial Lines and Excess Casualty divisions.
Eric Kittleson has been appointed Chief Underwriting Officer of Iron-Starr, responsible for continued expansion of the Agency’s suite of products and complementary lines of business in Bermuda.
“As Iron-Starr embarks on its fourth year of operation, these management changes will further align the existing team of leadership with business growth opportunities on the horizon,” said Kevin H. Kelley, Chief Executive Officer of Ironshore.
“This unique platform between Ironshore and Starr Insurance & Reinsurance Limited provides a syndicated approach for meeting the increasingly complex insurance needs of our clients.”
Geoff Smith, the former CEO of Iron-Starr who was instrumental in the creation and launch of the entity, will assume the role of Executive Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, for Ironshore, based in Boston, Massachusetts.
In this position, Mr. Smith will work in cooperation with the Ironshore Executive Management team to explore new ventures to support the company’s worldwide expansion strategy. Michael Warwicker will be resigning from the organization to pursue other interests.

Iron-Starr Excess Agency Ltd., a joint venture between Ironshore Inc. and C.V. Starr & Co., Inc. that was formed in 2009, is a specialty lines insurance managing general underwriting agency, domiciled in Bermuda.
