Met Opera To Present Verdi’s Rigoletto
A screening of Verdi’s Rigoletto [2013 Encore] – part of the Met: Live in HD Encore series – will be held at BUEI on Sunday [April 12] at 5.00pm.
A spokesperson said, “Don’t miss opportunity to see our last opera this season, as part of the New York Metropolitan Opera’s Met: Live in HD [2024-25] [on film] in Bermuda. Verdi’s Rigoletto [2013 Encore], on film, will be showing at BUEI at 5pm this Sunday. In Italian with English subtitles, approximately 2.75 hours with interval.
“Usual cash bar before and at intermission [approximately 6.05pm], but no interval snacks. “In this electric performance from 2013, baritone Željko Lučić sings the title role in Michael Mayer’s 1960s-era production of Verdi’s great drama, sharing the stage with soprano Diana Damrau and tenor Piotr Beczała. Michele Mariotti conducts.
