Love Is All Around For Photographer

Love really is all around if you bother to look for it, says Bermuda photographer Libby Cook-Toppan

Her work on the subject is featured in the current Select Palette Art “BLK/WHT/WoW!” collaborative show involving 15 local artists at Hamilton’s Common Ground cafe. Many of the works explore the theme of relationships and everyday life experiences.

“I see hearts everywhere…often in the most surprising places, like this one on Reid Street near the Senate,” said Ms Cook-Toppan. “I went through a very dark time in my life a few years ago and the sight of a heart brought joy to the darkest of days.

“Since then I have continued to be blessed with seeing hearts, often when I’m feeling down. For me it is a reminder that I am loved, that there is love all around us and to give love unconditionally”

Other participating artists include Robert Bassett, Calix Smith, Christopher Grimes, Demetri Pamplin, Emma Joyce Ingham, Kelly Howe, Kendra L Earls and and Vaughan Evans.

The show runs at the Chancery Lane cafe until April 25.
