Upcoming: Adult Education School Event

Bermuda’s Adult Education School — which describes its mission as building the community by transforming lives — is holding cocktail reception and silent art auction next Wednesday [Feb. 29] appropriately enough called “Transformation.”

Being held under the patronage of Education Minister Jennifer Smith at Gosling’s Wine Cellar from 6pm until 9pm, the event will feature the work of local artists who are presenting in a variety of media including painting, photography, textiles and jewellery, as well as music by John Seymour and jazz virtuoso Shine Hayward.

Artists who have donated pieces for the auction include Manuel Palacio, Robert Bassett, Jessica Dismont, Gavin Howarth, Vanessa Turner, Grahame Rendell, Samantha Botelho, Ampah Hubbard, Scott Gemmell, Tonetta Spring, Amy Harvey, Kelly Hunt, Althea Minors, Tracy Osborne, Meredith Johnson, Dwayne Caines, Erna Nesbitt, Ami Zander, Alice Cedenio, Nicole Lowe, Lee-Ann-Stephens and Caitlin Barnard

All proceeds from this event will go directy to support the programmes of The Adult Education School. Tickets are $35, include drinks and hor d’oeuvres and are available here.
