Football: Weekend First Division Results
Over the weekend a number of First Division football games took place across the Island. Wolves celebrated after being presented the First Division League Trophy and Flanagan’s Onions celebrate gaining promotion into the Premier Division for the 2012/2013 Season.
Devonshire Colts 0 Wolves 3
At the Police Field, Wolves celebrated after their 3 – 0 win over the Devonshire Colts when they were presented the First Division League Trophy by the President of the Bermuda Football Association Larry Mussenden. During the game, Wolves got two goals from Sergio Richardson and a single strike from Vincent Minors Jr.
Flanagan’s Onion’s 6 Somerset Eagles 0
At the BAA Field the Flanagan’s Onions had two celebrations, one that they won the match 6 – 0 over the Somerset Eagles and the other was that they have gained promotion into the Premier Division for the 2012/2013 Season. Keston Lewis led the way with four goals in the game while Pete Robey and Richard Cumbers added a goal each.
X’Road’s 9 Prospect United 0
At the Garrison Field, X’Road’s defeated Prospect United 9 – 0. Shuaib Worrell gave them the lead in the 24th minute before Antell Butterfield doubled the lead. Uthmani Talbot made it 3 – 0 in the 63rd minute before Dennis Musson Jr. scored in the 67th minute to make it 4 – 0. Delonte Dunlop scored in the 67th minute and then a Vic Balls strike in the 70th made 6 – 0 before Musson struck again to make it 7 – 0 in the 76th minute. Jarraeu Daniels closed out the scoring with goals in the 81st and 87th minutes.
Paget Lions 0 BAA 18
At the White Hill Field, BAA defeated the Paget Lions 18 – 0. Willie Clemons led them to victory with four goals while Vance Hill added a hat-trick. BAA also got double strikes from Fabion Pacheco, London Roberts, and Quinton Lewis. Diego McCallan, Trey Durham and Zeon Robinson all scored a goal each. There was also two own goals in the match as well.
Young Men Social Club 9 Hamilton Parish 2
At the Bernard Park, Young Men Social Club got three goals from Robert Somner, two from Robert Rawlings and single strikes from Jahkio Bolin, Levar Bassett, Ysavier Darrell and Michael Smith, as they defeated visiting Hamilton Parish 9 – 2. Calvin Hansey and Nigel Burgess scored the goals for the visitors.
