Results: BTFA Carifta Final Track & Field Trials
The Bermuda Track and Field Association held their 2012 Carifta Final Trials at the National Sports Center over the weekend [Mar.24/25].
During the Under 20 Girls 200 Meter Dash Preliminaries, Dajoune Trott clocked a time of 26.11 to finish first while Shawnae Brangman finished second clocking 26.77 and Kirtsin Saltus finished third in a time of 27.42.
Rachel Fox ran to victory in the Under 20 Girls 400 Meter Dash with a time of 1:00.87 with Kirtsin Saltus finishing second clocking 1:03.80.
In the Under 20 Girls Long Jump Kerri Furbert recorded a winning leap of 5.28m, Akeila Richardson finished second with a leap of 4.92m and Precious Cooper finished third with a leap of 4.35m.
Jeneko Place won the Under 20 Boys 100 Meter Dash Preliminaries clocking a time of 10.82. Kyle Webb recorded the exact same time but was placed in second and Scott Clarke finished third clocking 10.98.
In the Under 20 Boys 400 Meter Dash Preliminaries, Karim Creary was the first to cross the line in a time of 51.57 while Kyle Godfrey finished second in 51.88.
In the much anticipated Under 20 Boys Long Jump, Aaron Perinchief had the best leap of 6.77m to finish 1st while Chas Smith finished second leaping 6.61m and Tyrone Oswald finished third also leaping 6.61m. Bruce Degrilla had a top leap of 6.55m with Creary leaping 6.30m and Christian Wright leaped 5.99m.
