21-Year-Old Man Charged: Golf Club Assault
In Magistrates Court yesterday morning [Apr.2], 21-year- old Sandy’s resident Joshua Boorman was remanded into custody until April 12th 2012 when he will re-appear in tandem with Makonnen and Quan Lowe.
Like the Lowe brothers, Boorman faced the indictable charge of unlawfully causing grievous bodily harm to the alleged victim on March 26th 2012. Boorman also faced the indictable charge of possessing an offensive weapon, a golf club, and using that weapon to cause GBH.
The Crown’s case for the refusal of bail was based on the fact that Boorman was currently on bail and on probation for other matters; and that the investigators into the March 26th case were still seeking three other men who were said to be involved.
