Videos: Teams Start To Arrive For Carifta
Members of the Barbados Association and community gathered at the LF Wade International Airport last night [Apr.4] to greet the Barbados athletes and coaching staff that arrived in Bermuda to take part in the 41st Lime Carifta Games.
With trumpets blowing and flags waving, the team was met with a loud cheer. Barbados Association of Bermuda President Rudolph Alleyne was on hand to give the athletes a warm welcome and encouraged them to “go home with many medals”.
Head coach of the Barbados team Alwin Babb thanked those that came out to support the team’s arrival and said, “This is the type of support that lends to good performances, the team would carry the welcome over the next couple of days and give performances that you would all be proud of as Barbadians living here”.
The British Virgin Islands team were also on the American Airlines flight out of Miami, with at least one more team expected on the later flight from New York.
WELCOME BARBADOS TO BERMUDA AND GOOD LUCK AT CARIFTA!!!!!!
