Video: Track Athletes In Action At CARIFTA

[Updated with video] The track and field portion of the 2018 CARIFTA Games is now underway in the Bahamas, with Bermudian athletes in action.

Taylor Hines competed in the Under 17 Girls 400 Meter Dash Final, finishing 6th in heat 2 of the preliminaries clocking 59.65 finishing 14th overall.

Clevonte Lodge advanced to the Under 17 Boys 400 Meter Dash Final when he finished with the fourth fastest qualifying time., finishing in a time of 49.23 in heat 2 of the preliminaries.

Deneo Brangman finished 3rd in heat 2 of the preliminaries clocking 48.72 during the Under 20 Boys 400 Meter Dash which saw him finish 10th overall.

Amelia Othman finished T4th in the Under 17 Girls High Jump with a top leap of 1.60m, while in the Under 17 Girls 1500m Tilly Norman crossed the line 6th clocking a time of 5:04.62, while Jessie Marshall finished 8th with a time of 5:06.16.

Ryan Outerbridge crossed the line 10th competing in the Under 17 Boys 1500m with a time of 4:30.96.

Ashley Irby finished 4th in the Under 20 Girls 1500m clocking a time of 4:54.13, while Johndell Cumberbatch finished 7th with a time of 4:12.41 competing in the Under 20 Boys 1500m.

Competing in the Under 17 Boys 400 Meter Dash Final, Clevonte Lodge finished 5th with a time of 48.92, and Elisha Darrell finished 8th in the Under 20 Boys High Jump with a top leap of 1.95m.
