BPGA Stroke Play Championships To Kick Off

The Bermuda Professional Golf Association Stroke Play Championships gets underway today [May 21] at Tuckers Point Golf Club.

This years tournament will be contested over 54 holes. Daniel Augustus and Dwayne Pearman — the defending champion — will be heavy favourites this year with the two dominating the local Jack Daniels Golf Tour.

Chaka Desilva is looking to have some say in the Championships as he has shown some signs this year of being able to compete with the big guns.

In addition, Kim Swan is hoping to show the talent that got him onto the European Tour has not left him. Also in the field looking for strong finishes are Darriek Douglas, Dwayne Gibson and Tuckers Point’s Director of Golf Paul Adams.
