Man Injured In Single Vehicle Accident

A 37-year-old man was injured in a single vehicle bike accident in Sandys on Thursday night.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 10:50pm on Thursday May 17th, police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle collision on Somerset Road in Sandys near the junction with Scaur Lane involving a motorcycle.

“It appears that the motorcycle was travelling along Somerset Road when it lost control and fell to the ground. The rider, a 37 year old Sandys man was injured and conveyed to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment. Inquiries into this incident are ongoing.”
