Photos/Results: Track & Field Championships
[Updated] Despite the less than co-operative weather, the Bermuda National Track & Field Championships got underway at the National Stadium this evening [June 15], with numerous records being broken.
Ashley Estwanik and Juma Mouchette have set New National Records already this evening, – both in the 5000m. Mouchette was clocked in a time of 16:16, while May 24th female champion Ashley Estwanik crossed the line in 16:40.
Taahira Butterfield set a New National Record during the Under 17 Girls 200 Meter Dash when she clocked a time of 25.42, this time eclipsed her previous record time of 26.57.

Kyle Webb broke Jeneko Place’s Under 20 Boy’s 200 Meter Dash record when he clocked 21.76, overcoming the time of 21.87.
Tre Houston set a New National Junior Record during his Open Men’s 200 Meter run when he clocked 21.33, breaking his own record of 21.36.
Salah Tuzo set a New National Junior Record in the 10 and Under 800 Meter race clocking 2:47.32, breaking the previous record of 2:57.83 set by Zahra Wilson.
Robert Thomas set a New National Record in the 10 and Under 800 Meter’s with a time of 2:48.69 breaking the previous record of 2:54.65 set by Sean Tucker.
Aaron Jacobs smashed his own 12 and Under 800 Meter record when he was clocked across the line in a time of 2:20.63, breaking his previous record of 2:31.17. Aaron Evans set a new open 800 Meter National Junior record of 1:49.55.
Kyrah Scraders’ 14 and Under Girls 800 Meter Record was broken by Quinnae Outerbridge who clocked 2:22.58, while Michaiah Robinson is now the 14 and Under Boys 800 Meter record holder after clocking 2:07.71, overtaking the previous best time of 2:20.47 set by Jermiah Steede.
