New Computer System For Financial Assistance

The Department of Financial Assistance will offer limited service over the next week as the staff will be engaged in training on a new computer system, which the Department said “will increase efficiency.”

A spokesperson said, “The Department of Financial Assistance wishes to advise the public that from Monday 9th July 2012 through Friday 13th July 2012, financial assistance workers and managers will be engaged in training on a new computer system, which will increase efficiency and ensure greater risk management.

“The Department’s offices at Global House, Church Street, Hamilton, will remain open as per usual and the reception desk will be manned. However, service will be limited to: receiving application documents; providing basic information; consultation and dealing with emergency cases. The Department requests current clients to make appointments to see their financial assistance workers beginning the week of 16th July 2012.

“The Department of Financial Assistance wishes to apologize to the public for any inconvenience that may be experienced during this time and thanks its clients for their cooperation as we aim to implement an improved service to the community.”

    I wonder if this is why they received more funding ?? Instead of helping more people like they claimed……… Sad very sad ….
    Help the people who need it Gov has already “mis-used” enough funds to get us in this state!!!
