Two Teens Appear In Magistrates Court
In Magistrates Court this morning 17-year-old Sanchea Douglas pleaded not guilty to taking a Vespa scooter on 2nd May 2012; and not guilty to taking another cycle, this time a Honda Scoopy, on the same day, 2nd May 2012. Douglas was granted bail of $5,000, was required to find a Surety, and must come back for trial on 18th July 2012.
In an entirely different matter, 17-year-old Gavaska Bascome re-appeared for a continuation of yesterday’s bail hearing in relation to the Good Friday machete attack.
However, the Senior Magistrate was not satisfied that his request for additional information had been fulfilled. The Magistrate ordered that the bail hearing should pick up again on 6th July and Bascome Lodge was sent back into overnight custody.
