Eleven People Arrested Last Night
Eleven people are probably not enjoying their Cup Match holiday since they were arrested last night for various offences.
The police have confirmed that there were eleven people arrested last night: Four were for outstanding warrants, three were for impaired driving, two people were arrested for possession of a controlled drug, one person was arrested for wounding and one person arrested for burglary.
Yesterday there was a few incidents that marred Cup Match eve, with a 16-year-old male being stabbed during an altercation at Albouys Point in Hamilton at around 4pm, and as of today he is listed in stable condition on a surgical ward.
Just prior to that incident two men robbed a female motorcyclist at 2.30pm on Middle Road in Devonshire. The morning had started out with the police investigating a shooting in Smiths.
Officials said they have put a number of security measures in place for the Cup Match holiday, with manpower being increased for the period through a joint effort with the Bermuda Police Service, Reserve Police and Bermuda Regiment.
4 days in the lock up before court. Maybe the present government will stream the game for them hoping to get 11 more votes…….
How is the motor cyclist who was robbed? What a horrible thing to happen to her and the culprits need flogging for a cowardly act….someone knows who did it…
