One Month Since Rudy Smith’s Disappearance
The disappearance of Rudy Smith remains a mystery with the 40-year-old having not been seen for almost a month.
Speaking with his sister this morning, she said right now the family is “as clueless as the public,” and they really want closure.
When asked if they were still hopeful, his sister said: “There is always hope, we serve a big god.”
The family also appealed for members of the public to step up if they know anything and contact the police or Crime stoppers.
“We are looking to the public,” his sister said. “If anyone knows anything please call the police, and I say that not just as he’s my brother…he’s a human being.”
After not seeing him for two days, Mr. Smith’s family reported him as missing early last month.
The police located Mr Smith’s motorbike in the waters in front of Grace Church on North Shore on July 16, and police divers searched the waters for any other items.
Friends of Mr Smith have posted flyers island-wide with his photo on them, and organized a search party last month which saw dozens of people scouring the island in hopes of finding Mr Smith.

this story still baffles me..someone knows something.
I pray that if anyone does know something they will come forward so this family can have some closure. How would you feel if this was your family member??? Come on Bermuda get it together!
Someone knows something. If you dont want yourself identified just call crime stoppers this family needs to know where he is. Looking for him with no clues is very hard. I am sure they are lost in where to continue to look. PLEASE PLEASE just that 1 person to say something. Any bit of info helps. I do not know Rudy Smith or his family but while out on my walks I keep a eye out for anything that may help in his disappearance. To his family and friends I am praying for you for his return.
If they knew of the bike I find it strange not of him… very puzzling
Bermy is a big place when you live here. My hopes and prayers go out to the family for some closure, to everyone else, man the hell up and say something.

I’m sure YOU are reading this because you like everyone else want to know if the police know anything…..
IF you have harmed Rudy (even though two wrongs don’t make a right) in anyway because you feel that he may have crossed you in someway at least have a shred of decency to help his mother bring some form of closure to this situation……it’s not fair that she should have to sit up night after night wondering if her son is going to walk through the door…….it is her RIGHT to have some closure…..Imagine YOUR mom in her shoes….what if it was YOU that was missing….how do you think your mom would feel….would you want her to experience the pain, the torment that Rudy’s mom must be feeling? I find it hard to imagine that you would want your mom to go through that..to have to endure so much suffering…..
If you have caused harm to Rudy or have him somewhere let someone know…..a call from an anonymous number…a letter not signed…provide some sort of clue because what you are doing is not right and I don’t know how you are able to sleep at night or how you are able to function day to day without a care in the world….This will come back to haunt you one day…….and I’m sure it’s not just you….someone else knows so it is not a secret……
I don’t know who you are but YOU know who you are……if you are reading this…..do the right thing……..provide a clue….let someone know something….If what the streets are saying is true that is not a reason to bring harm to someone, it could have been worked out……Please, please help Rudy’s mom to find peace, bring some closure to this situation….
