Tropical Storm Gordon Forms In Atlantic

The seventh named storm of the 2012 Atlantic hurricane season has formed, however the Bermuda Weather Service [BWS] said that Tropical Storm Gordon is not a threat to Bermuda.

Gordon’s maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph [65 kph], and the U.S. National Hurricane Center says some strengthening is forecast over the next two days and Gordon could become a hurricane over the weekend. The system is centered about 507 nautical miles east of Bermuda and is moving is a northerly direction.
