Football First Division Weekend Results
A number of football games took place on Sunday [Sept 16] with St David’s defeating Boulevard Blazers 2-0, Devonshire Colts defeating BAA 2-1, Prospect United defeated Paget Lions 6-2, and Hamilton Parish defeating Somerset Eagles 3-0.
Boulevard Blazers 0 St. David’s 2
At the BAA Field this First Division match got underway with three females officiating, Shakil Robinson gave visiting St. David’s the lead in the 36th minute, Fiqre Crockwell doubled the lead in the 61st minute as St. David’s defeated the Boulevard Blazers 2 – 0.
Devonshire Colts 2 BAA 1
At the Police Field, Kiuno Cann gave the home team Devonshire Colts the lead in the 25th minute, Dante Taylor equalized for visiting BAA in the 55th minute, however Ellington Weldon scored the winner for the Devonshire Colts with a strike in the 82nd minute.
Paget Lions 2 Prospect United 6
At the White Hill Field, visiting Prospect United took the lead in the 15th minute when Ge-Von Greaves scored, Greaves doubled the lead five minutes later. Prospect United went up 3 – 0 in the 40th minute when David Urbina scored. Five minutes into the second half Ronald Bell gave Prospect United a 4 – 0 lead, however five minutes later Dijaun Simons pulled a goal back for the Paget Lions. Milton Vernaza made it 5 – 1 to Prospect in the 78th minute and then in the 85th minute Vernaza made it 6 – 1, Andrew Warren closed out the scoring when he scored Paget Lions’ second goal to make the final score 6 – 2.

At Malabar, this match was not played as only one official showed up and no Match Commissioner was present.
Somerset Eagles 0 Hamilton Parish 3
At the White Hill Field, TiaVince Douglas gave the visiting Hamilton Parish the lead when he found the back of the net in the 24th minute, Glenn Walker doubled the visitors lead on the Somerset Eagles in the 30th minute. In the 64th minute Ian Coke made it 3 – 0 as Hamilton Parish came away with the three points.
For Parish against Eagles, “Turtle” TiaeVince Douglas scored both the 1st in the 24th and also the 2nd in the 30th not Glenn Tucker. Just Had your facts slightly off.

Turtle put away 3 attempts at goal. Which made him 3/3 in the first half but with the linesman behind the play thought with all the space turtle had, he had thought turtle was offside and made that call which upset the crowd.
Tiaes debut for hamilton parish would have been 1 to remember with a hat-trick in the first half.
