60-Yr-Old Sex Offender’s Sentencing Delayed
This morning [Nov 7] 60-year-old Glenn Brangman appeared before Magistrate Khomisi Tokunbo. Mr Brangman was due for sentencing for his earlier conviction on four counts of sexually molesting a male teenager.
However, at this morning’s hearing, lawyer Shade Subair gave notice to Magistrate Tokunbo that she had filed an appeal to the Appeals Court, asked that sentencing be stayed, and requested that Mr Brangman be granted bail.
Magistrate Tokunbo said that as he understood the law, he had no authority to alter the remand order that had been made by the Chief Justice and could not therefore grant bail. The matter was adjourned until Thursday 15th November.
Mr Brangman — a former Manager of the Bermuda Housing Corporation [BHC] and an ex-Major of the Bermuda Regiment — will remain in custody until then. He faces up to five years in prison.

lock that creep up and throw away the key sad also to think that he was also pretending to be a born again christian but full of the devil he should never see the light of day .
Was he the only one involved here or he just the one that got caught, I think there may be a few more names to add to the shame list
Mr. Tokunbo, with this sentence – “Magistrate Tokunbo said that as he understood the law, he had no authority to alter the remand order that had been made by the Chief Justice and could not therefore grant bail,” you not only redeemed yourself (if that was still needed) but you redeemed the law.
Convicted sex offenders should not be let out on bail, period. IMHO, accused sex offenders shouldn’t be let out on bail, either, but that may be asking too much.
if found guilty he should serve extra time for wasting the tax payer money
Apparently there are two things he loves to do ; Peel back bananas and shine shoes . Make him do that every day and , twice on Sundays for five years .
After seeing this blatant waste of taxpayers money i think the accused should have to serve extra time for wasting courts time and mine as a taxpayer.
But after all this one might like where he is going.
@spying the land——eye spy with my little eye something beginning with C! for Co-ed prisons, hmmmsomething to think about, with the changing of the times it might be a good idea to have co’ed? na? Too many repeat offenders probably missing their lovers! or looking for new talent,.who knew!
Don’t they do background checks on people who work in places like the regiment?
Surely in a position of trust this should have been done and if it was, who did it?
They should be fired too.
Can someone tell me why so many ex-regiment personel end up working for the Bermuda Housing Corp? Just wondering.
It’s how so many that don’t kno nothing about thing can run their mouth none stop! Sit for 1 minute and think that there can be another reason on why the case is not moving forward! Mercy not just bermudians but so many people are so gullible this day in age! I smell greed from some that are causing so much trouble in the world today! SMH!! As for the other person in this scenario – I hope you get what it is your looking for and what ever may come your way!
