Results: Hannover Re Road Races
Over 100 participants turned out this morning [Nov 18] at Tuckers Property across from Botanical Gardens to take part in the Hannover Re Half Marathon, Marathon and 10K races.
Stephen Allen took first place honours with a time of 33:52 in the 10K race with Evan Naude second and Ricky Sousa taking third. Catherine Mello crossed the line in 46:28 winning the women’s division with Kathleen Thompson just seconds behind her taking second and Jenene Douglas picking up third place.
In the half marathon, Sean Trott won the men’s title with a time of 1:16:51. Simon Ashby, trailing some 9 minutes behind Trott came second and seconds away was Gideon Kigotho placing third. Karen Smith was first across the line for the ladies recording a time of 1:34:03 with Christina Dotson coming second and Gemma O’Brien placing third.
Jon Smith won the full marathon in a time of 3:52:30. Giles Spurling and Robin Holder took second and third places respectively. Natalie Dyrli was the lone female entrant to cross the line, winning the full marathon women’s division with a time of 4:45:50.
