  2. The panel this evening is a good panel and I believe is dedicated to the cost of what is needed that Bermudians can get back to work,It is important to look at the position that we are in and what we intend on doing to make sure there is answers that are viable to the betterment of all Bermudians.

Many things was discussed and I would share my opinion based on what I have heard, first of all the homosexual issue needs to be put on the order paper and should be come a priority for debate so we can have the debate and move on from there whatever the outcome is.Bermudians need to stop being so passive and need to hold their elected officials more accountable for the things that concern and press us the most.

Government needs to cut work hours for the majority of each of their departments and they can do this by making the work day shorter and in some cases the work week shorter, this will not work without the assistance of the private sector who have to give lower interest rates on mortgages and lesser amounts for rents from the homeowners.the savings has to be across the board to be able to assist more and more Bermudians that are becoming displaced within their own country and loosing jobs, homes and the like.to many Bermudians have been forced to go overseas and to that end we need to terminate all foreign contracts of those who are doing jobs that Bermudians can do such as hotels, restaurants, drivers, construction to name a few.

We can not afford to cut government workers jobs if the private sector such as accommodation ,food and the like don’t take and lower their pricing, but Bermuda has for to long out priced itself and those that are hit the hardest can attest to it.More then anything else we need to stop just seeing round table discussions year after year without meaningful impact even through legislation.
