Results: Casely Tennis Tournament
Five Bermuda Junior Tennis players took to the courts on Friday [Dec 14], on day one of the Casely Tennis Tournament going on in Miami, Florida.
Kaylah Ming lost her first round to Lian Benedejcic of Slovenia in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 in the 12 Year Old Girls Division.
In Boy’s 14 Division matches, Benjamin Furqan won his first round match against Jeron Smith of British Virgin Island in straight sets 6-0, 6-4. Nathan Morgan lost his first round match to Santiago Diaz of Mexico in straight sets 6-0, 6-0.
Also playing his first round match in the Boy’s 14 Division D’Undre Seymour lost his match to Joshua Arnold of Trinidad and Tobago in straight sets and Yontz Sutton lost his match to Eric Slav-Dotan of Israel in straight sets 6-2, 6-1.
Furqan returned later in the day to play his second round match as he went down in straight sets 6-0, 6-0 to Eduardo Ribeiro of Brazil.
On day two of the tournament, matches were delayed after heavy rain fall prevented the players from taking to the courts, thus forcing the tournament organizers to allow the players to play just one set.
