Downed Tree/Pole: Harbour Rd Traffic Delays
[Updated] There are traffic delays in the Harbour Road Paget area this afternoon [Jan 24], due to a downed tree and utility pole. The Fire Service and BELCO are presently on the scene attending to the issue.
A police spokesperson said: “Motorists are advised that due to a downed tree and utility pole in the Harbour Road Paget area, traffic traveling west on Harbour Road is being diverted on to Lovers Lane and traffic traveling east on Harbour Road is being diverted on to Chapel Road until further notice.
“Traffic delays are anticipated as a result. We appreciate the motoring public’s cooperation and patience while this situation is being rectified.”
Update 6.16pm: A police spokesperson said: “The downed tree and utility pole in the Harbour Road Paget area have been cleared and traffic can now travel along Harbour Road as per normal.”
