First & Premier Division Football Results
A number of First and Premier Division football games took place on Sunday [Jan 13], with Devonshire Colts, Somerset Eagles, Prospect United, Hamilton Parish, BAA, Southampton Rangers, Dandy Town Hornets and walking away with wins.
First Division: St. David’s 0 Devonshire Colts 1
At Lord’s in St. David’s, the lone goal of this game came on the stroke of half time when a Devonshire Colts corner was spilled into the back of the net by the St. David’s goalkeeper as Devonshire Colts defeated the First Division League Leaders St. David’s 1 – 0.
First Division: Somerset Eagles 8 Ireland Rangers 0
At the White Hill Field, the Somerset Eagles got two goals apiece from Marcus Simmons and Shentoine Lambert, while Kani Fray, Matteo Frazzoni, Stevie Dread and Davin Riley-Clarke all added a goal each.
First Division: Prospect United 2 Young Men Social Club 1
At the Police Field, Jerolamon Pitcher gave the Young Men Social Club the lead in the 35th minute, Ge-Von Greaves equalized for the Prospect United and then on the stroke of full time Quinn Simmons scored the winner as Prospect United defeated the Young Men Social Club 2 – 1.
First Division: Boulevard Blazers 1 Hamilton Parish 2
At the BAA Field, Marcel Dill gave Hamilton Parish the lead in the 45th minute, Aaron Williams equalized for the Boulevard Blazers five minutes later, but Donavan Thompson scored the Hamilton Parish winner in the 89th minute.
First Division: BAA 3 Paget Lions 1
At the BAA Field, Shaki Swan gave BAA the lead in the 19th minute, Ryan Tyrell doubled the BAA lead in the 46th minute, the Paget Lions, pulled a goal back in the 51st minute when Andrew Warren scored from the penalty spot, but Vance Hill restored the BAA two goal lead when he scored in the 53rd minute as BAA defeated the Paget Lions 3 – 1. Premier Division: Southampton Rangers 4 PHC Zebras 3
A see-saw battle took place at the Southampton Oval, as the PHC Zebras went in front in the 18th minute with Cecoy Robinson scoring, two minutes later Dennis Russell drew the Southampton Ranger level, Janeiro Tucker then gave the Southampton Rangers the lead in the 30th minute, but one minute later the score was 2 – 2 when Robinson scored his second goal of the game. Shakir Smith then gave the PHC Zebras the lead in the 33rd minute, but for the fourth time in the game the scores were level this time it was Kemon Simmons scoring for the Southampton Rangers making the score 3 – 3 in the 52nd minute. The Southampton Rangers would then pull off the win when Russell scored his second goal of the game on the stroke of full time.
Premier Division: Dandy Town Hornets 2 Somerset Trojans 0
After a scoreless first half at the St. John’s Field the Dandy Town Hornets went ahead in the 64th minute when a Saki Tuzo corner went in without being touched. Fabian Frankson doubled the Dandy Town lead in the 74th minute as they defeated the Somerset Trojans 2 – 0.
Premier Division: St. George’s Colts 1 North Village Rams 1
At the Wellington Oval, Mackie Crane gave the St. George’s Colts the lead in the 22nd minute, but Keishen Bean equalized for the North Village Rams in the 72nd minute as the two teams shared the points.
