Trojans, PHC, Wolves, Robin Hood Record Wins

A number of football games took place across the island on Sunday [Jan 20], with two games ending in a draw and Somerset Trojans, PHC Zebras, Wolves, and Robin Hood all walking away with victories on the day.

Devonshire Colts 1 Somerset Trojans 4

At the Police Field, Tyrell Burgess gave the visiting Somerset Trojans the lead in the 8th minute, Lozendro Symonds equalized for the Devonshire Colts in the 36th minute. Jonathan Bean put the Somerset Trojans back in front in the 51st minute and then Tahj Wade made it 3 – 1 in the 69th minute as the Somerset Trojans advance in the FA Cup.

Boulevard Blazers 0 PHC Zebras 6

Cecoy Robinson gave the PHC Zebras the lead in the 14th minute against the Boulevard Blazers at the BAA Field, Marco Piper doubled the PHC Zebras lead three minutes later. Shakir Smith made it 3 – 0 with a goal in the 53rd minute, Smith in the 81st minute made it 4 – 0, Robinson scored his second goal of the game in the 85th minute, before Smith completed his hat-trick in the 88th minute.

Young Men Social Club 1 Wolves 2

At the Bernard Park, Aljame Zuill gave visiting Premiership team Wolves the lead in the 25th minute against First Division outfit Young Men Social Club. Young Men Social Club drew level when Kelvon Butterfield converted from the penalty spot in the 66th minute, however, Vincent Minors Jr. converted a penalty for Wolves six minutes later that proved to be the winner.

North Village Rams 1 Robin Hood 2

The North Village Rams went ahead 1 – 0 in the 3rd minute when Khoemani Talbot scored, but in the 50th minute Antwan Russell drew the visiting Robin Hood level, in the 63rd minute Mikre Pace scored what proved to be the winner for Robin Hood as they advanced to the next round of the FA Cup.

St. George’s Colts 1 Southampton Rangers 1

At the Wellington Oval, Jarazinho Bassett gave the home team St. George’s Colts the lead in the first half, but Dennis Russell equalized for the visiting Southampton Rangers in the second half as the two teams will have to play once again.

Dandy Town Hornets 1 Flanagan’s Onions 1

At the St. John’s Field, the two teams will need a replay to decide a winner after this game ended 1 – 1. Rico Wells gave the Dandy Town Hornets the lead, but Jake Fox equalized for the Flanagan’s Onion’s.
