Videos: BGA International Gymnastics Challenge

[Updated] The Bermuda Gymnastics Association hosted the second annual International Gymnastics Challenge today [Jan 12] at their Southside facility.

Premier Craig Cannonier and Governor George Fergusson came out to lend their support to the event, which saw dozens of gymnasts from Bermuda, Canada and the USA compete. The local athletes thrilled the home crowd, with Bermuda taking home first place team honours in both the morning and afternoon session.

Over 500 spectators came to watch the event, which saw some 40 Bermuda gymnasts compete alongside approximately 35 overseas athletes from five different gymnastics clubs in Massachusetts, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Canada.

Update: The full results have been added here. The morning session [Copper/Bronze/Silver levels] saw Bermuda top the tables with 109.20 points, the Titans second with 105.35, and the Yellow Jackets third with 104.30.

The afternoon session [Gold/Platinum levels] saw Bermuda win again with 105.05 points, Gymnastics of York place second with 103.95, and the Titans were third with 98.85. Click here for full results.
