Dr. Ming Appointed New Chief Immigration Officer
The Ministry of Home Affairs announced today [Feb 6] that Dr. Danette Ming has been appointed as the Chief Immigration Officer on February 1, 2013.
Dr. Ming will work under the policy direction of the Minister of Home Affairs Michael Fahy, and under the general direction of Ministry Permanent Secretary Cherie Whitter.
Prior to joining Government, she was employed at Cable and Wireless Bermuda Ltd. as Senior Vice President, Human Resources; she has over 12 years of senior level managerial experience, and also lectured part-time at the Bermuda College [2001-2005].
On December 13, 2010, Dr. Ming assumed the role of Acting Chief Immigration Officer.
A graduate of Elliott Primary and Warwick Academy, Dr. Ming possesses a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration [1992], a dual Master’s degree in Management and Human Resource Development [1998], and a Doctorate in Strategic Leadership [2009].
