Video: Nahki Wells Wins Bus Parking Challenge
It’s not quite in the same league as winning the Cup Final, but Bermuda’s Nahki Wells is a ‘winner’ already, romping to victory in a bus parking competition held by Cup sponsors Capital One.
Wells, along with fellow footballers Rory McArdle and Carl McHugh, took up a challenge from sponsors Capital One to see who could park a 53-seater bus in the fastest time. The event was named “Parkin the Bus” after assistant boss Steve Parkin.
Noting he was from Bermuda, the commentator said Wells “is used to driving jet skis and speed boats.” Wells finished with the fastest time, parking the bus in 64 seconds, which was actually slower than he could have been.
The 22-year-old Bermudian thought he had finished and stopped to celebrate his parking prowess, however the ‘linesman’ indicated he was not fully within the lines and Wells had to inch forward slightly to finish. His final time of 64 seconds was still good enough to claim the win.
Capital One hosted the parking competition in advance of Sunday’s Cup Final at Wembley, where they will be driving 2,000 Bradford and Swans fans to Wembley for free.
