Photos/Video: Good Friday KiteFest Underway
[Updated with video + more photos] Despite less than inviting weather conditions, crowds of people have made their way to Horseshoe Bay Beach in Southampton for today’s [Mar 29] Good Friday KiteFest event, which is being hosted by Chewstick.

Premier Craig Cannonier, Governor George Fergusson and Environment Minister Sylvan Richards are among those in attendance. The day is set to feature kite-flying, egg-hunting, races, musical entertainment, the Gombeys and more.

There will also be a Kite Competition in which the categories include Best Boxy, Biggest Kite, Smallest Kite, Best Design, Best Traditional Kite, Best Innovative Kite Design, Loudest Kite, and even the Ugliest Kite.
