PLP Hail “Free Up Part 2″ Night A Success
Progressive Labour Party Leader Marc Bean hailed his Party’s open mic night “Free Up Part 2,” as a success.
Mr Bean said, “Part of our new direction and new vision is ensuring that we are reflecting the wishes, ambitions and priorities of our people.
“The feedback and input that we are receiving through these series of Open Mic nights as well as our canvassing are proving to be a valuable tool in understanding why we lost, what changes are needed within the PLP and what we can do to better serve our people.
“Last night’s meeting saw a dynamic set of MPs whose depth of knowledge, willingness to listen and commitment to Bermudians was on full display.”
MPs Rolfe Commissiong, Walter Roban, Michael Weeks and David Burt took questions relating to the economy, immigration and rebuilding the Progressive Labour Party for the 21st century.
The meeting held at the BIU Headquarters in the Dr. E.F. Gordon Memorial Hall and ran for two and a half hours.
“The public is encouraged to look out for the next open mic in this series as more of the Parliamentary team will be available to participate,” a PLP spokesperson said.

I am convinced the PLP MPs like punishment there is no way you guys can get elected again until you change how you do things
**Mr Bean said, “Part of our new direction and new vision is ensuring that we are reflecting the wishes, ambitions and priorities of our people.**
And how does that differ from what they had 14 years to prove that they were doing ?
And what is ” our people ” code talk for ?
“Our people” is the new “friends & family” program.
If LaVerne Furbert’s piece in the Workers’ Voice is to be believed she thinks the PLP will never get reelected. They had their chance from 1998 and blew it. The PLP may as well disband and reform.
Worker’s Voice???…..only read by my cat as he sh!ts on it!
Dear Mr ?MP pass the spliff please
I know a lot of people will say a lot of stuff that makes sense and even have good ideas
UNFORTUNATELY the PLP is not the Party thats running the country. – had they – had this idea 6 years ago
they might have been the Govt.of the day. – providing that they listened to the people.
Sometimes good ideas come to late.
What is 14 years to the almost 500years of injustice. If you want to bring up the past. Just remeber who did wrong to who!
Where do you get the ’500 years’ from? Another myth made up by the PLP for “real Bermudians” to throw around?
Wow Its funny the comments you guys make. The PLP are hitting the streets and speaking with the people. That’s a good thing. Stop the hate it really makes the OBA look bad. Under the Leadership of Marc Bean you will see great things. Get used to it.
