Sandys 360 To Celebrate Third Anniversary
Sandys 360 Centre is preparing to celebrate its 3rd Anniversary on April 6 from 11am-7pm with a Family Fun and Fitness Festival, Admission is $5, and children under 5 are free.
The festival will boast a number of family focused activities including live local performances, fitness demonstrations, children’s games and activities, Family Fun Challenge, scavenger hunt, and more activities to have fun as a family.
“As a young organization, we are trying to find the right mix to celebrate reaching each milestone. This year, we are hosting a Family Fun and Fitness Festival where the community can come out and enjoy a day of wholesome family fun, and discover some great activities to be healthy together;” says Stephanie Lee-Marketing & Communications Coordinator.
“A major component of that is the Family Fun Tournament, where families, community groups, and companies put together teams to compete in a number of sporting activities that utilizes the entire facility.”
“There will be a number of vendors and community partners at the festival to show their wares as well. As this is a community event, we are partnering with businesses, feeder schools, and charities. We are trying to bring the entire community together with this event, not just the West End, but everyone, from every corner of the island, locals and visitors, to relax and have fun.
“We want to show that Sandys 360 is more than just a gym and pool, but a meeting place for the island to enjoy.Local acts are to include school groups, Gombeys, Socaerobics, Zumba, representatives from the Bermuda Police Service and more. DemBiez will MC the event.”
Sandys 360 Centre is a purpose built facility located behind Somerset Cricket Club, including a FIBA recognized basketball gym, FINA recognized 25m heated, indoor pool, and fitness facility. Sandys 360 hosts a number of community programmes including Afterschool and Holiday Camps, Professional Development Courses, GED Classes, Child Development, Actively Ageing Seniors and more. They are a registered charity #644.
