New DemBiez Video Celebrates Bermuda’s Men

A new music video released by DemBiez Productions aims to celebrate Bermudian men, with a montage of impromptu singers taking on the popular song “I’m the Man” by American singer and songwriter Aloe Blacc.

The video was shot by Jumar Hayward of DemBiez, with assistance from Jacin Lowe.

A spokesperson for DemBiez said, “We wanted to do something for the males of the island because often they are overlooked. Being an independent record label with all the resources to get this done, we thought ‘why don’t we show they they aren’t forgotten’ and do this video.”

“So, with the handy work of Jumar Hayward and Jacin Lowe, who went out and took some amazing shots with men from all over the island, hopefully it can remind our males, no matter what might be on their conscience or has them down, to ‘stand up tall and face the sun’ as Aloe Blacc says in his lyrics.

“Together we can overcome anything. On this small island of Bermuda, we are all family anyway. DemBiez isn’t just three 20-year-olds who came together to represent local artists with our label; we are three male Bermudians who are trying to make a difference on our island. We try to impact our island with what we know best: music, video, and laughter. Not all male Bermudian youth are lost. Not at all.”

DemBiez said they hope the video serves to remind all the males of Bermuda that they are role models for the future generations, and must shine a positive example.
