Pembroke Hamilton Club Hall of Fame Induction

phc130416Pembroke Hamilton Club held its Annual Prize Presentations for football, softball and setball recently, and the event also saw the Hall of Fame Induction taking place.

The highlight of this year’s ceremonies was the First Annual Football Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Richard “Junior” Mallory, Eston Rawlins, Willard Manders, Eldridge “Pop” Smith, Lewis “John Beaver” Burrows were all inducted to the Hall of Fame posthumously with their family members accepting on their behalf.

In person to accept their induction into the PHC Hall of Fame were Ed Durham, Earl “Tounsey” Russell, Leroy “Nibs” Lewis, Cal White, and Calvin “Bummy” Symonds . Looking on with great pride was a standing room only audience, which included current players ranging from 4 to 36 years old and past players like Sammy Swan, Derrick Douglas Kevin Dill, Frank Ming and Dana Rawlins to name a few.

    The men mentioned in this article are legendary Icons of sport and in the community. They built the PHC from nothing and created a football team that carries a name that we all wanted to identify with. Sadly its taken only one man, ONE MAN to turn the once mighty PHC into a struggling entity……I won’t say much more
