Woman Robbed Of ‘Large Amount Of Money’
“Police attended to a report of a theft of a large amount of money in the City of Hamilton sometime on Sunday”, a police spokesperson said. “The victim states she was approached by a male who made demands of money. He then made good his escape.”
The police spokesperson continued, “An investigation into this incident is underway, and police are asking for anyone who has any information on this matter to please contact Central CIU on 2950011. Or you can call the confidential Crime Stoppers hotline on 800-8477.”
This is an unusual, little story.
exactly what i was thinking… who walks around with bundles of cash these days anyway?
The Easter bunny
Please provide details to jog peoples memories….eg location of the theft, what details, which direction thief went, what they looked like, were wearing.
Surely there must be video evidence if it was in Hamilton.
I wasn’t aware it is illegal to demand money unless you directly threaten the person…did he?…sounds like she just gave it to him. I usually just tell them no, they get miserable, sometimes throw a few f’s my direction. She had a large quantity of cash…why? Where was it? If it was concealed why did you give him a large quantity and not just a bit? The whole story just seems strange…and short. Ladies here’s a piece of advice, get yourself a pocket air horn that can easily fit in a purse. The sound can somewhat incapacitate while drawing the eyes of everybody in the area to you. When tasers and pepper spray are out of the question thats your best option…although there’s nothing like pumping 500,000 volts through somones body and having them wake up in a puddle of their own urine.
Asking for info but providing almost no details, for what do we need a media relations dept??
Perhaps if they look at the multi million dollar CCTV system that the police are supposed to monitor they will get a clue on this crime
She could have just gotten her payout from her “hand” club. Somebody coulda got a tip it was her turn to get paid. In any case, being robbed was entirely the fault of the thief, not the victim.
