CADA: Bacardi To Continue As Lead Sponsor
CADA — an organization focused on encouraging responsible alcohol behavior — today announced that Bacardi Limited will continue as ‘Let Us Drive,’ the lead sponsor of the successful free, late-night, don’t drink and drive taxi service.
CADA Chairman Anthony Santucci stated, “On behalf of CADA’s board, I extend my sincere appreciation to Bacardi Limited, who will continue its $20,000.00 lead sponsorship of the ‘Let Us Drive’ service for the seventh consecutive year. To date, this service has taken home more than 9,000 people. With its on-going support, Bacardi Limited ensures that people who have been out late on a Friday night have a free, safe and reliable ride home.”
Clara Fay, Director, Corporate Affairs of Bacardi added, “Bacardi Limited is very pleased to continue our sponsorship for this important service. Social and corporate responsibility has been at the heart of Bacardi since its founding more than 150 years ago. Bacardi has built on this long-standing commitment by giving back to communities through volunteerism, social and educational initiatives, as well as financial donations. Our focus remains on effective self-regulatory codes, education, retailer programs, and traffic safety initiatives. We congratulate CADA for creating and administering ‘Let Us Drive’ and applaud everyone involved.”
Mr. Santucci concluded, “We know lives are being saved through this service. ‘Let Us Drive’ taxis are available every Friday between 3:15am and 3:45am from outside the LOM Building on Reid Street. If anyone would like more information, please visit CADA’s website.”
