Photos #2: Catlin End To End Walk/Cycle/Swim

May 4, 2013

Walkers, cyclists, swimmers and more took part in today’s [May 4] fundraising event, which started at 8am in St George’s with the End to End, while the Middle to End Route started from both Albouys Point [walkers] and Elbow Beach Hotel [cyclists].

Every year, on the first Saturday in May, around 2,500 people walk, cycle, or use other methods to make their way across the island, in order to raise funds for local charities. The event has distributed more than $4.25 million over the past 25 years. View the first set of photos here, and a slideshow with 250+ images from today below.

Wow! Such a great turn out. Congratulations to all 2,700 of the participants and to the 500 volunteers who helped run the event. This shows incredible community spirit! I’m so proud to be a Bermudian.

My 86 year old aunt cycled from Knapton Hill to Dockyard after receiving a pacemaker for her heart 2 or 3 months ago.

What a wonderful achievement. , when I have difficulty walking to the bus stop.

    • Bernews says:

The pics are fine…. If you can’t see them you either have a computer issue of some kind, or you may be on a device that doesn’t support flash?

      • Autumn Fire says:

BERNEWS, we are able to view your first set, but we can’t see the second set either, we have an iPad…

        • Bernews says:

Yes, that’s as iPads don’t support flash. You will need to look at them on a regular PC or different tablet.
