Saracens Train With CedarBridge Students
On Tuesday May 28, 2013, KPMG in Bermuda in conjunction with The Beyond Rugby Bermuda representatives, hosted a training session with the Saracens RFC Rugby team and CedarBridge Academy students.
As part of Saracens week-long tour and the build up to Friday’s game against the Bermuda Select XV team, students from CedarBridge Academy had the opportunity to interact and train alongside the Saracens team.
This opportunity has proven to be a success with the students as they had the opportunity to build relationships with international rugby players and gain valuable knowledge about the sport.
Exposing students to international players such as the Saracens team is an integral part of their development and is part of the Beyond Rugby Programme approach – building strong bonds with team mates while redirecting negative energy through the use of sport.
Richard Lightowler, Head of Insurance at KPMG in Bermuda states, “KPMG is delighted to sponsor this event. Sport, in particular rugby, teaches values that are important in life – teamwork, responsibility and respect. These reflect the corporate values of KPMG. Tuesday’s training session demonstrated how sport can channel energy in a positive way. It was fantastic to see both boys and girls having so much fun.”
