Video: St. John’s Pre-School “Asthma Rap”
Bermuda charity Open Airways is getting some help when it comes to spreading the word about asthma education — from students at the St. John’s Pre-School.
The toddlers recently performed the “Asthma Rap” to help raise public awarness about the chronic lung disease and how it can be better managed.
Open Airways was registered as a charity in 1997 to help people of all ages who suffer with asthma.
The organisation’s key objectives are to provide specialised education about asthma and other respiratory problems such as emphysema; to educate individuals, their families and the public about respiratory diseases and to promote self care where possible; to act as an advocate and lobbyist for people with respiratory diseases, particularly those who are most vulnerable and disenfranchised, to improve access to quality care; and to Provide basic necessary equipment for effective treatment for those in need.
