Golf: Daniel Augustus Storms To 10 Shot Victory

June 6, 2013

Daniel Augustus stormed to a 10 shot win in the Gentleman Jack PGA of Bermuda Strokeplay Championships. His scores of 71-66-65 out classed the other local pros. Augustus used his big hitting and deadly touch on the greens to over whelm the golf course repeating his own previous course record of 65 in the final round.

Paul Adams, President of the PGA of Bermuda said “I have felt that Daniel had the potential to be the Tiger Woods of Bermuda and it is great to see him finally fulfill the potential”.

The Golf Channel has a Slow play program on at the moment and it was reassuring that the local pro’s took that to heart, as all the rounds where played in well under 4 hour, the new GPS system showing exact distances to the greens being key to how it can really speed up play.

Daniel Augustus “I would like to thank “Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior, Tucker’s Point was in awesome condition, the grounds team under Andre Cannonier prepared the golf course as if it was a PGA Tour event”

Dwayne Pearman came second overall but won the Seniors over 50 section, and Keith Smith won the Super Seniors (Over 60) group.

Great Job Daniel, Theo Augustus IV. The Dept of Youth & Sports should be promoting this young black man. I’ve never seen his picture on their wals or cards or win a Sports Award. Come on Bermuda. Support Positive Young Black men.
