“Heatwave” Party To Be Held On July 6th
On July 6, MF Promotions will be hosting their annual Heatwave Party at Gombeys in St David’s which will feature Stone Love, Bodyguard and Renaissance Disco.
The promoters said this year Heatwave Part III “promises to be the biggest one of them all. The stars have aligned so we were able to secure Stone Love Sound System, Bodyguard Sound System and Renaissance Disco all for one night only. The event is appropriately name Heatwave because of the magnitude of these Sounds.”
Stone Love is a well known name on the reggae scene. Started in the early 70s, by Wee Pow and Rory, they presently have 8+ selectors, and also have their recording studio which has help them remain current in the industry.
Bodyguard has been around as long as Stone Love. Selector Johnny, or Johnnyguard as he he is known, has been playing for over 20 years, and has some of the biggest reggae anthems in their arsenal.
Renaissance Disco is the youngest of the three, and use the term disco to differentiate the way they play. Jazzy T recently returned from a sold out tour of China, Japan and Europe; and Renaissance is the official sound of the Dream Weekend in Negril, Jamaica.
