Notice To Mariners For Comet Sailboat Race
The Department of Marine and Ports said the West End Sailboat Club will host their annual long distance Comet sailboat race between Somerset and St. George’s on Monday [June 17].
The race will start at 11:00 a.m. near the West End Sailboat Club in the Great Sound with sailing dinghies transiting the waters of the north shore to the finish line in St. George’s Harbour.
“All mariners are requested to keep a sharp lookout for race participants and spectator boats along that route and to keep clear of racing dinghies while also minimizing your vessel wake,” a spokesperson said.
