This Week’s Pipe Band & Dance Performances

This week will be full of piping, dancing and celebration. This evening [June 10] the MacKenzie School of Dance will appear at the Beating the Retreat Ceremony in Dockyard, and the Bermuda Islands Pipe Band dancers will also perform.

On Wednesday [June 12] the MacKenzie School of Dance will do a short performance at Harbour Nights to give everyone a taste of some of the dancing that will take place at the Bermuda Highland Games. They are set to go on at 7.45pm in front of the Pickled Onion.

On Friday [June 14] some of the performers that will be featured at the Bermuda Highland Games will provide a lunchtime interlude on the steps of City Hall. The Schiehallion Dancers, the MacKenzie School of Dance and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Dancers will appear after 12noon.

The Schiehallion Dancers and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Pipe Band will make an appearance at the Happy Hour before and the Ceilidh at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess on Friday [June 14]. The Ceilidh immediately follows Happy Hour and starts at 9pm and will feature an authentic Scottish Ceilidh band.

The 2nd Annual Bermuda Highland Games starts at 2:30pm on Saturday at Saltus Field.
