Weekend Bermuda Cricket League Results

A number of cricket games took place this past weekend, with Flatt’s Victoria, St. George’s, St. David’s, Cleveland County, Willow Cuts and Somerset Bridge all recording wins.

Flatt’s Victoria Win by 2 Wickets: Devonshire Recreation Club 159 Flatt’s Victoria 163/8

At the Devonshire Recreation Club, the home team batted first and were bowled all out for 159, captain Stephen Bremar was the top scorer with 41, while Vernon Eve returned figures of 5.2-0-14-3 for the Devonshire Recreation Club and Regino Smith bowled 3-0-26-3.

In reply Flatt’s Victoria scored 163/8, however they almost threw it all away with three run outs all involving Hewvonnie Brown, Paul Carr was the top scorer with 34, Durnell Smith added 31. Darius Usher returned figures of 4-0-21-2 for Flatt’s Victoria, while Jodi Maroni bowled 10-0-32-2.

St. George’s Cricket Club Won by 183 Runs: St. George’s Cricket Club 290/8 Western Stars 107

At the St. John’s Field, the St. George’s Cricket Club were sent to bat and scored 290/8 in their allotted 50 overs, Sinclair Gibbons was the top scorer with 51, while Zeko Burgess added 45 not out. Neon Steede was the pick of the Western Stars bowlers with figures of 10-2-44-2, while Brian Hall bowled 10-0-44-2.

In reply Western Stars were bowled all out for 107, Wayne Campbell was their top scorer with 20, while Micah Simmons returned bowling figures of 8.1-2-28-6, Burgess bowled 9-2-33-2.

St. David’s Cricket Club Won by 8 Wickets: PHC 74 St. David’s Cricket Club 75/2

At Lord’s in St. David’s, PHC batted first and were bowled all out for 74, Kevin Dill was their top scorer with 17, while OJ Pitcher returned figures of 8-3-21-5.

In reply McLaren Lowe scored 32 as St. David’s Cricket Club crossed the score with 8 wickets in hand, Charles Symons was the pick of the PHC bowlers with figures of 4-1-13-1.

Cleveland County Won by 2 Wickets: Somerset Cricket Club 153 Cleveland County 156/8

At the Somerset Cricket Club, the home team batted first and were bowled all out for 153, Jacobi Robinson was the top scorer with 35, Raul Khan added 26. Lavar Talbot was the pick of the Cleveland County bowlers returning figures of 5.4-0-31-4, while Allan Douglas Jr. bowled 4-1-15-2.

In reply captain Dennis Musson Jr. scored 47 not out, while Makai Young added 24 not out as Cleveland County scored 156/8. Shaquille Jones returned figures of 6-1-25-3, while Khan bowled 7-0-27-3 for the Somerset Cricket Club.

Willow Cuts Won by 25 Runs: Willow Cuts 277/7 Southampton Rangers 252

At the Southampton Oval, Malachi Jones scored 94 runs to lead Willow Cuts to a score of 277/7, Deunte Darrell added 51, Quinton Sherlock returned figures of 10-0-54-3 for the Southampton Rangers.

In reply the Southampton Rangers were bowled all out for 252, Dion Stovell was the top scorer with 66, while Sherlock scored 33 not out. Kavon Fubler led the Willow Cuts bowling attack with figures of 10-1-63-4, while Malachi Jones bowled 8.5-2-35-3.

Somerset Bridge Won by 164 Runs: Somerset Bridge 258/9 Warwick Workmen’s 94

At the White Hill Field, Ryan Shepard scored 107 to lead the Somerset Bridge to a total of 258/9 in their allotted 50 overs, San’j Dill returned bowling figures of 10-0-36-3.

In reply Warwick Workmen’s were bowled all out for 94, Jade Darrell was the top scorer with 30, while Donnie Charles bowled 7-1-19-4 for the Somerset Bridge.
