Weekend Bermuda Cricket League Results

Bailey’s Bay, St. David’s Cricket Club, St. George’s Cricket Club, Southampton Rangers, Willow Cuts and Somerset Cricket Club all recorded wins this past weekend.

Bailey’s Bay Win by 204 Runs: Bailey’s Bay 285 Devonshire Recreation Club 81

At the Sea Breeze Oval, Devonshire Recreation Club won the toss and sent Bailey’s Bay to bat, Rodney Trott scored 100 as Bailey Bay scored 285 all out, Calvin Dill added 61 before being run out. Lamont Brangman was the pick of the Devonshire Recreation Club bowlers with figures of 10-2-32-3, while captain Stephen Bremar bowled 7.4-1-48-3.

In reply the Devonshire Recreation Club were bowled all out for 81 in 25.4 overs, captain Bremar was the top scorer with 12, while Brangman scored 11 and Tory henry scored 10. Lateef Trott returned bowling figures of 5.4-2-10-3 to lead Bailey’s Bay’s bowling attack, while Kyle Hodsoll bowled 7-2-27-3.

St. David’s Cricket Club Win by 10 Wickets: Western Stars 110 St. David’s 111/0

At the St. John’s Field, Western Stars were bowled all out for 110, Iejah Caines was the top scorer with 31, while Neon Steede added 22, Del Hollis was the pick of the St. David’s Cricket Club bowlers returning figures of 10-4-28-4.

In reply Delyone Borden scored 60 not out as the St. David’s Cricket Club scored 111 without loss, McLaren Lowe added 37 not out.

St. George’s Cricket Club Win by 7 Wickets: Warwick Workmen’s 62 St. George’s 64/3

At the Southampton Oval, Warwick Workmen’s won the toss and elected to bat and were bowled all out for 62, Dwayne Adams was their top scorer with 18, while Zeiko Burgess returned bowling figure of 6-0-24-5 to lead St. George’s Cricket Club’s bowling attack, Wilbur Burt bowled 7.2-2-31-4.

In reply St. George’s Cricket Club scored 64/3, Damon Walker was the top scorer with 25 runs, while San’j Dill returned figures of 4-1-10-3 for Warwick Workmen’s.

Southampton Rangers Win by 6 Wickets: Cleveland County 196 Southampton Rangers 197/4

At the Wellington Oval, Cleveland County won the toss and elected to bat first, they were bowled all out for 196, Treadwell Gibbons was the top scorer with 55, while Chris Douglas added 46. Dion Stovell returned bowling figures of 9.1-2-22-2 and Derek Brangman bowled 10-2-26-2.

In reply Stovell scored 68 not out as the Southampton Rangers scored 197/4, Janeiro Tucker added 66. Tamuari Tucker had the best bowling figures for Cleveland County returning figures of 9-2-25-2.

Willow Cuts Win by 199 Runs: Willow Cuts 282/8 Somerset Bridge 83

At the White Hill Field, Somerset Bridge won the toss and sent Willow Cuts into bat, Ricardo Brangman was the top scorer with 111 as Willow Cuts scored 257 and then were awarded 25 runs for slow overs rate by Somerset Bridge. Dwight Basden added 49, Noel Woods was the pick of the Somerset Bridge bowlers returning figures of 10-1-43-3.

In reply Somerset Bridge were bowled all out for 83, Jahnoi Wilson-Bean was the top scorer with 45, while Clarence Trott added 14. Malachi Jones was the pick of the Willow Cuts bowlers returning figures of 7-1-21-4, while Kavon Fubler bowled 5-0-16-2.

Somerset Cricket Club Win by 197 Runs: Somerset 333/6 Flatt’s Victoria 136

At Lord’s in St. David’s Somerset Cricket Club captain Jekon Edness scored 107 not out as the Somerset Cricket Club reached a total of 333/6. Shaquille Jones added 74, Troy Dean was the pick of the Flatt’s Victoria bowlers with figures of 10-0-59-2, while Paul Carr bowled 10-1-69-2.

In reply Flatts Victoria were bowled all out for 136, Chris Daley was the top scorer with a knock of 34 not out, while Nelson Bascome added 33. Jacobi Robinson was the pick of the Somerset Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 9-3-11-2, while Raul Khan bowled 6-0-24-2.

    Garbage cricket with this one league but most are saying that the better teams can always enjoy half a day when they play, Warwick, Bridge, Flatts, Western Stars, Rec. St. George’s, etc.
