BCB Premier Cricket Division Weekend Results
A number of cricket games took place this past weekend [July 27/28], with St. George’s Cricket Club, PHC, Cleveland County, Willow Cuts, and St. David’s Cricket Club all recording wins.
St. George’s Win by 185 Runs: St. George’s Cricket Club 354/6 Devonshire Recreation Club 169
At the Wellington Oval, St. George’s Cricket Club batted first and scored 354/6, Christian Burgess was the top scorer with 98 runs, while captain Oronde Bascome and Chae Foggo both added 59. Jodi Maronni was the pick of the Devonshire Recreation Club bowlers returning figures of 10-1-48-3.
In reply the Devonshire Recreation Club were bowled all out for 169, Lamar Caines was the top scorer with 37, while Dion Ball and Keneik Wallen both added 21 each, Jonathan Denbroke was the pick of the St. George’s Cricket Club bowlers returning figures of 7-2-38-4, while Macai Simmons bowled 4.1-2-9-2.
PHC Win by 27 Runs: PHC 122 Flatt’s Victoria 95
At the PHC Stadium this match was reduced to 41 overs, PHC batted first and were bowled all out for 122, Kevin Dill was the top scorer with 24, while Mark Smith added 21. Vernon Eve was the pick of the Flatt’s Victoria bowlers with figures of 4.5-0-12-4, while Kevin Hurdle bowled 9-2-30-3.
In reply Flatt’s were bowled all out for 95, Rahji Edness was the top scorer with 17, while Hurdle scored 16. Bancroft Haughton was the pick of the PHC bowlers returning figures of 8-0-52-5, while Delray Rawlins bowled 4-2-6-3 and Cal Waldron bowled 6.1-0-34-2.
Cleveland County Win by 118 Runs: Cleveland County 325/8 Western Stars 207
At the St. John’s Field, Chris Douglas scored 109 as Cleveland County scored 325/8 in their allotted 50 overs, Allan Douglas Jr. added 56. Brian Hall had figures of 10-1-53-2 for Western Stars, while Ray Butterfield bowled 10-0-59-2 and Clay Darrell bowled 10-2-74-2.
In reply Western Stars were bowled all out for 207, Temiko Wilson was the top scorer with 71, while Kanaz Tuzo added 43. Allan Douglas Jr. was the pick of the Cleveland County bowlers with figures of 10-1-46-3.
Willow Cuts Win by 301 Runs: Willow Cuts 411/8 Warwick Workman’s Club 110
At the Southampton Oval, Malachi Jones scored 80 runs to lead Willow Cuts to a big score of 363/8, Willow Cuts were awarded penalty runs pushing their score up to 411. Dwight Basden added 47. Chari Smith was the pick of the Warwick bowlers with figures of 9-1-32-2, while Demiko James bowled 8-0-56-2.
In reply Warwick were bowled all out for 110, Lionel Cann and Shonari Boyles-Simmons were the top scorers with 33 each, David Adams returned figures of 6.2-3-14-3 to lead the Willow Cuts bowling attack.
St. David’s Cricket Club Win by 6 Runs: St. David’s Cricket Club 164 Bailey’s Bay 158
At Lord’s in St. David’s, Bailey’s Bay won the toss and sent their Eastern County rivals to bat in a match that was reduced to 40 overs, St. David’s Cricket Club were bowled all out for 164, OJ Pitcher was the top scorer with 37, while Burton Outerbridge returned bowling figures of 6.2-0-20-3.
In reply Bailey’s Bay were bowled all out for 158, Terryn Fray was the top scorer with 45, while Justin Pitcher was the pick of the St. David’s Cricket Club bowlers with figures of 6-1-30-4.
