Bermudian equestrians Justus Anderson and Lucas Bridges recently competed in Jamaica, with both claiming wins in their respective team events.
Justus Anderson, along with Jamaican rider Claire Schwapp, won the 0.95m team event during the final day of competition in the Equestrian Federation of Jamaica’s international friendly, which wrapped up this past weekend.
In other team action, Charlotte Clivio of Jamaica and partner Lucas Bridges of Bermuda took first place in the .80m event while riding Goofy. Bridges also took third place, along with Danielle Gore of Jamaica, in the .80m partner event.
The Equestrian Federation of Jamaica’s international friendly drew some of the best riders in region, including Bermuda.
“The event has been very well organised by the Equestrian Federation of Jamaica. The foreign riders are of a very high standard, and our Jamaica riders are looking really good,” said Jamaican coach Susan Wates of the competition.
The Bermudian equestrians attended with their coach Michael Rodrigues of Rodrigues Equine Services.
