BNAA Announce Team For Russian Games

The Bermuda National Athletics Association [BNAA] announced that athletes will be leaving Bermuda on today [July 2] to participate in overseas competition.

“We have a team leaving for the University Games which are being held in Kazan, Russia. These games consist of multiple sports and athletics begins July 7th with our last athlete competing July 12th”, BNAA President Donna Watson said.

“We are excited with this team as this is some of our outstanding University students who have been competing well during this season. We are looking for some great performances from them.

“We were only allowed two females and two males therefore we had to send some to the University games and the others are competing at the CAC Snr Championships.

“The team consists of:

  • Taylor Ashley Bean – 800m & 1500m
  • Alison Outerbridge – Triple Jump
  • Shaquille Dill – 400m & 800m
  • Henry Stevens-Carty – 400m & 800m

“Therefore we have three teams flying out tomorrow. The CAC Snr Team in the morning to Miami and the World Youth and University team flying out tomorrow evening on the BA flight going through London. We are looking for great things from all three of the teams”.
