Corey Lewis and Mya Smith presenting to Elliot Parish Primary School students:
“Having technicians from Bermuda Motors provided students with valuable insight into problem-solving, technical skills, and opportunities within the automotive industry. Corey and Mya brought along a vehicle, a spare engine, an old turbo, and a battery setup with wires, switches, and light bulbs to demonstrate how electricity flows and powers circuits.
“Corey focused on the electrical demonstration, encouraging hands on participation by allowing students to connect the wires themselves. This interactive activity generated significant excitement, with many students eager to try it out.
“Mya led the engine and turbo demonstration, guiding students as they used tools to assemble and disassemble various components. She explained the purpose and function of each part while assisting students in safely using the tools and completing tasks they found challenging.

“The demonstration proved highly engaging, with some students reluctant to leave the table as they continued exploring the equipment. Corey and Mya also took time to speak with parents, teachers, the event organizer, and the school Principal before wrapping up.”
Mr. Lewis said, “This was one of the highlights of my day. The students were very appreciative and told us we did a great job. It was nice to hear, especially as the pace was quite busy and a bit overwhelming at times. I can speak for both Mya and myself in saying we had a lot of fun and truly appreciated the opportunity provided by Bermuda Motors Ltd. and Elliott Primary.”
The spokesperson said, “Corey was also presented with a Certificate of Participation by Elliott Primary School Principal, Ms. Kimberly Creighton.”
